COVID-19 has brought the entire world in a critical situation. Every nation, its government and people are doing their best to fight against the pandemic. But everything is not enough. Looking at this scenario, here are some important on what housing societies can do to prevent the residents from the virus while keeping the area clean and hygienic.

Here are some guidelines for the family members of an infected person.
  • If you doubt having a coronavirus infection – for instance, you do not have any symptoms, but you were in contact with an infected person, then you should go in for isolation. This isolation is for the fact that you do not pass the infection to someone else. Ideally, this quarantine period is recommended for 14 days. In case you want medicines, then get them home delivered and pay online for the medication. Avoid cash on delivery. The self-isolation period can be extended depending on the condition of the person.
  • If Coronavirus infects any of your family members, then try to do as minimum interaction as you can. Only one of your family members should be there to help the infected person if required. Don’t touch the used clothes of the patient directly with hands and don’t wash the clothes along with other family members’ clothes in the washing machine. Always use a sanitizer before and after meeting the infected person and do change your clothes.
  • If any of your family members have come out to be positive for Coronavirus, then all other family members must isolate themselves for a brief period of 14 days, despite the fact they have any symptoms or not. If there any signs in another person or even in you, then immediately get that person or yourself tested. The surfaces and items like chairs, shelves, doorknobs, utensils, clothes, toilet touched by the infected person need to be immediately disinfected. Keep their personal care items like soap, towels, shampoo, etc. separately. If possible, avoid using the same bathroom. Don’t forget to make a self-declaration about the condition to your neighbors as well as housing societies so that no visitors are visiting during that period. If there is any emergency at any time, call the coronavirus helpline number of your state.
Guidelines for other society members to stop the spread of Coronavirus
  • Do not meet or visit with anyone who has recently traveled from a corona affected location.
  • If by any chance, you happen to come in contact with any such person having specific symptoms then quarantine yourself till you feel beautiful and your test comes negative.
  • Avoid crowded places or gatherings and keep proper distance from other people.
  • Taught kids about hygiene.
  • Keep senior citizens at home.
