- The first thing you need to check is drainage, this factor is often forgotten by people but it is an important one. No one would like their toilets and kitchen to get clogged. It is annoying as well as unhealthy. Therefore, one must ensure the all the drainage outlets i.e. of bathroom, kitchen and balcony are functioning properly.
- Next up on the list is checking of amenities. It is often seen that builders don’t provide the buyers with what they promised in the initial plan. During booking the builder promises to provide the residents with amenities like community hall, playground, swimming pool and so on but during the final possession one finds some of them missing or not is a proper condition. Hence, before moving in you should check for all the amenities.
- Then one list is checking of plug points and switches. Ensure that before shifting in all the plug points and switches work. Text all the sockets and holders carefully and ensure all of them are well connected to the main supply.
- Ducting of your Air Conditioner is next thing you need to check. Ensure that the placing of your AC is done as per your need and also make sure water outlet as bad ducting can lead to seepage in your beautiful walls which no one wants!
- Next one is an important one: the MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breaker). They help your home’s electric circuits in the situation of overload. So ensure it is of a good and branded quality. Also, check that the MCB should be suitable with the supply of voltage at your home.
- If your builder had promised you a Wi-Fi connection in the society you live in then check the connection of the same in your area.
- Then one must check for the gas pipeline in their concerned project as all the builders offer the gas pipeline facility. Make sure to conduct a leakage test and a pressure test before you shift in. Also, check for the brand and ISI mark on the tubes.
- Finally, check that there is no leakage in any part of your house. You don’t want to spoil the beauty of your house with a leakage. If there happens to be one get it immediately repaired before moving in.
