When you buy your first house or a new house, it is always special to you. You want to make sure that it is 'perfect’. Let us take a look at the vastu principles while purchasing a home to add that perfection!

Vastu signifies a space where both God and human reside together. It is a set of principles that helps bringing positivity and blissfulness in your house.

Here are some vastu pointers that you should keep in mind before you book a house to encourage positivity and healthy living:

We should be careful about the kind of energy that enters your house. This is always important. So try and purchase a newly constructed house and not a second hand or used house as a new house has fresh positivity and old used house have histories like death or mishap that brings in a certain amount of negativity.
Shape of the house always matters. Try and buy a regular shaped plot for you house preferably a square or a rectangular shaped.
The building block entrance is considered as the main entrance. As per vastu you should prefer North or the NorthEast entrance. South or West entrances are not recommended as afternoon rays are harmful for health.
It is advised not to have a common wall with your neighbouring house because this mixes energies.
As per vastu, the centre of the apartment should be full of light so avoid rooms like toilets, kitchen in the centre
Avoid purchasing a flat with kitchen in the NorthEast direction.
As per vastu experts, bathroom should preferably be in the SouthWest or South direction. Also avoid having a bathroom attached to the dining area or kitchen. This can create a certain amount of illness in the house.
Try having an open area in front of the house as it is considered auspicious. It helps in bringing unlimited opportunities and scope in various fields. Also avoid having a tree in the line of the front door of your house; they stop the opportunities in jobs and employment.
If you have kids then the perfect direction for kids room is NorthEast or NorthWest as it brings in natural light.
Have North or East facing windows and balconies as they help bring in positivity with the morning sunlight. Avoid South or West facing windows.
Elders in the family always want the pooja room to be perfect, hence prefer the pooja room facing the NorthEast direction. This helps bring happiness, richness and prosperity. It would be more auspicious having the pooja room facing the East direction.
Prefer having the master bedroom facing the South direction and other bedrooms toward the north zone of the master bedroom.
