6 ways to add style to your home with table runners

Table runners are an easy and effective way to dress table settings and other types of furniture. It is perfect to add design, colour and texture. This can be custom-made in different sizes to suit the decor. Table runners look best when used with other decorative products to draw attention towards the display. Sujata Mehta, Director, Zeba Design, shares creative ways to use table runners indoors.
1. Table runners can be used on sofas, patio, coffee tables etc. It can also be used to beautify tables of different shapes i.e. round, oval, rectangular, square etc.
2. Place it lengthwise to enhance its look aesthetically. You can keep multiple centre pieces or serving dishes in line to decorate the table.
3. Table runners can also work as a place mat when placed across the table in front of each chair.
4. For furniture, you can use shorter runners and drape it on a night stand. It can also be used to accent other pieces of furniture like a dresser among others.
5. You can use table runners on the sofa as a hand rest, back rest or a throw depending on the size.
6. Table runners on a glass or console table can protect the surface or coffee table when you want to display curios that scratch the surface.
