Brass artifacts are essential components to decorate interiors. It can brighten up any room or living space with its unique tones of yellow. Leila Erfan, creative director and interior designer, ARIA Interior Design, gives useful insights on how to add charm to interiors with brass and care for these precious artifacts.

  1. Add prominence to your entryway using brass. You can add brass bells here. As there will be too much traffic in this space, ensure you do not place delicate items here such as brass artifacts with glass covering to prevent it from getting damaged.
  2. Brass sculptures or animal figurines give a sophisticated and classy touch to your living room. Place a brass idol or candle stand in this room to create a serene atmosphere in the house.
  3. The metal changes its colour in due course of time due to oxidation. This disparity adds an antique charm to the brass artifact.
  4. Bronze metal artifacts may look shiny and new in the beginning but with constant exposure to air and moisture, it tends to get greener and lose its sheen. Clean it with some baking soda and freshly squeezed lemon or vinegar, salt and flour paste to add vigor.
