If the building is made after leaving a space open in the North and East direction of the plot, such houses would be considered more auspicious. But due to lack of space in the cities, this is not possible in all houses. If the size of the plot is small or for some reason, it is necessary to take a common wall in the north or east direction, such buildings are generally not considered auspicious. Therefore while constructing such buildings, special care and measures including vastu should be taken into consideration to increase positive energy in the building. Vastu expert S.K. Mehta helps you with remedies if the North or East direction of the building is closed.

  1. To avoid vastu dosha while building on plots where the North and East direction is closed, the East and North zone of the house should be constructed after leaving cut out (duplex type) inside the building.
  2. Place the basement in the North, East direction. Place the entrance to the basement either in the NorthEast or in North angle. This reduces the side effects of vastu dosha created due to the closure of North or East direction.
  3. Construct the building in the plot in such a way that the NorthEast angle of construction can be increased. This architectural feature of the building provides relief from many types of vastu dosha.
  4. If there is a common wall in the North direction than on the South side and if there is a common wall in the East direction, then make a high construction on the West side of the ceiling. This also removes many vastu dosha from the building.
  5. If the North and East direction is closed, then the floor in both these directions of the house should be kept below one to three or four feet. This would also increase the auspicious energy of vastu.
  6. If the North or East direction is closed and there is vastu features in the building, then people residing in such building also make great progress and receive honour, prestige and promotions.
