5 tips to use colour block in homes

Colour blocking is an excellent way to spruce up and add glamour to a space. Let’s take a look at how you can achieve this.
- Decide the colours and the location where you are going to use them beforehand. For example, you can choose the colours from the same family.
- Curtains can have contrasting colours if the overall space is plain or white. This creates a visual interest to the space.
- If you intend to use bold colours ensure you use it only in certain space such as furniture. For example, pink chairs and red table and rest of the space should be neutral or subdued to create a balance.
- Accessorize your space with colourful cushion covers. Use bright colours like orange, pink, blue alternately and keep the furniture like sofa in white colour.
- Shelf walls in alternate colours look great when bright colours are used. This can bring a drastic transformation to a living or kitchen area.
