5 simple tips to decorating with mats

Mats are below everybody's radar when it comes to interiors. Here are a few tips on how to decorate your home with this oft-ignored element.
- To begin with determine where you will place the mat, inside the house or outside. If you plan to use it indoors, use cloth mats and choir or rubber to place the mat outside.
- You can also create a theme for mats according to the occasion. For example, choose colourful mats for festivals like Christmas, Diwali, etc.
- Mats can serve different purpose. Some can remove dirt whereas others can absorb moisture. Choose according to your preference.
- Keep your home decor in mind while purchasing the mat. This ensures it does not look out of place. If the colour of the wall is light, opt for a bright coloured mat. This will balance your interiors.
- Interesting patterns on mats help to enhance the decor of the house. Opt for the right material like the waterproof ones that help to get rid of water and keep the space clean.
