16 vastu tips to lead a peaceful life

If your house has been constructed following vastu rules, the problems that you face will disappear easily and quickly. Expert SK Mehta gives simple tips to follow if you are experiencing problems affecting your peace, career, etc.
- Ensure that elements in the house are arranged in accordance with five elements such as water, air, fire, earth and sky. The North East can have water resource like a bore-well or water tank. The South East can have the fireplace or kitchen, while the South West, which supports the earth element, can have the room of the owner. These aspects will help in maintaining peace at home.
- The bedroom should be constructed in a square or rectangular shape. A triangle is considered to be unlucky. If your bedroom has five corners with five walls and cannot be renovated, keep furniture in such a way as to create a sixth corner. An even-cornered space is better than an odd-cornered one.
- Mirrors placed in West or South direction of a bedroom can cause fights and arguments in a couple. If you are facing too many fights with your partner, remove the mirror or cover it with a curtain.
- If the walls of the house are not constructed in 90 degrees angle or has a slant as small as an inch, get it repaired as soon as possible. This may be the cause of various disturbances at your place.
- The house which is in need of repairs, such as having cracks, leaks, damaged plaster, could create health problems for the house owner.
- If you have a house that has kitchen and washroom adjacent to each other and the South East zone slightly lower, you may experience various issues at home.
- If the North West zone is lower than the North East zone, it may lead to people opposing you, besides causing loan-related problems.
- Homes with lower South and South West zone are prone to financial loss. People living in such a house may get addicted to drugs, leading to stress among family members.
- The North East zone should always be spacious, empty and clean. Never construct a store room in this area as it may lead to mental clashes and problems between family members.
- If your bedroom is in the North West zone, you may face many problems at your office/business and you won't even realise when you have lost a lot in your professional life. Hence always avoid constructing a bedroom in the North West area of the house.
- If a married couple sleeps in a bedroom situated in the South East zone, the lady may be always irritated and angry. Housing a short-tempered woman in the South East is not advisable.
- Keep windows in the North and East direction always open in the morning to let the positive energy inside and try waking up early before the sunrise. Surya Namaskar also helps in leading a happy life.
- Never keep the water tank near the stove. The sink should also have its proper place in the kitchen. Wrong positioning may lead to disturbances and illnesses.
- There should be ventilating device in the upper portion of the room or house. The kitchen, basement and toilets should be well-ventilated with exhaust fans.
- Avoid using extremely bright lights. Similarly, use light colours on walls; vibrant colours leads to mental tensions.
- Clean the house rigorously during no moon and Saturdays. Remove the garbage, extra papers, rubbish from home and donate the shoes and other footwear instead of throwing them away to invite positive energy.
